Learning - It's a Trip
by Nancy Fernandez Mills
That's the tag line of an educational travel brand aimed directly at the Baby Boomers. The brand is Road Scholar and it's brought to you by Elderhostel, the hugely successful travel and learning non-profit that's celebrating 30 years of service to older Americans.
If you want to be a traveler, not a tourist...if you want to go behind the scenes and have access to a special learning experience...if you want a combination of time on your own as well as time in a group...then Road Scholar might be just what you've been looking for! Especially if you don't consider yourself an "elder" !!
This week I spoke with James Moses, President of Elderhostel, who started working there as a college intern and is now running the organization. A Boomer himself, Moses says our generation has different priorities in travel, as in life.
